Continuous experimentation and new initiatives is the back bone of any academic and service organisation like IBPS. The operational and academic aspects of all the selection system have to be based on practical consideration and exigencies of the process- may they be candidates or the stakeholders. The success of any system depends much of these considerations. Some of the initiatives taken by the institute are given below :

  • Switching over to conduct of online examinations

    During the days when exams were being conducted in paper pencil mode the normal time of declaration of the result was very high and uncertain. In order to reduce the waiting period IBPS decided to switch over to online mode of examinations. This is being done with the support of our channel partners. It has helped IBPS in quick processing of the answer responses and declaration of the results without much waiting period and that too without much human intervention. These exams are being organized in more than 200 cities across India.

  • On-line Receipt of Applications

    Adapting to the changing scenario of today’s world and also to become a technology driven organization, IBPS has completely switched over to on-line mode of the receipt of applications. It has helped in reducing the time consumed in processing high volume of applications it used to receive, in hardcopies and also in the time it used to invest in processing them, by way of data punching etc. Now all applications for recruitment projects and admission tests are received through this new online mode only.

  • On-line receipt of Application Fees

    With the help of some technology enabled solution providers, with the launch of CWE III project, IBPS started accepting Application fee only through Online mode. Candidates are benefitted by this process as it has saved them from the uncertainty of loss/delay in transit and getting confirmed intimation of the fee receipt.

  • Creation of Help Desk

    In order to help the candidates IBPS started a helpdesk which is running successfully and helping candidates of Common and other Written Examinations conducted by IBPS.

  • Launching of Calendar for Forthcoming Common Written Examinations (IBPS-CWE)

    To facilitate candidates willing to apply in CWE conducted by IBPS, institute notified the calendar of all CWE’s to be conducted in 2014-15 on its website. The move is very much appreciated by all the candidates.

  • Conduct of Personal Interviews

    The faculty members of the Institute have expertise in conducting personal interviews which are directed towards assessment of crucial personality characteristics and behavioral dimensions and also subject knowledge in certain areas. Interviews help in tapping personality and behavioral dimensions of candidates which cannot be reliably tested through written tests alone. IBPS has expertise in handling structured and semi-structured interviews. It provided end to end services in this area to some of its clients.

  • Nominating Experts for conduct of personal interview

    Besides this the Institute has rich database of experts from different knowledge areas and expertise from academics, banking and insurance and other industries. It also nominate its experts as panel members to help various Organizations/ Banks in conduct of interviews or group exercises for and on behalf of them. IBPS helped all the Nodal banks in conduct of personal interviews for CWE candidates by nominating one of its experts in all interview panels as IBPS Representatives.

  • National Financial Literacy Assessment Test

    As a gesture to its Corporate Social Responsibility, IBPS helped National Institute of Securities Markets (NISM) in conduct of the National Financial Literacy Assessment Test (NFLAT) during the year. IBPS helped NISM in this project without taking any fee from them.

    Around 40,000 candidates appeared in the test conducted at various centres across India.
